Who “runs” Phi Lamb?
Board of Directors
Phi Lamb is governed by a Board of Directors. Seven alumna from various chapters help keep things running smoothly.
Regional Directors
The Regional DIrectors oversee the administration of each chapter.
Executive Director
This is the person you work with if you’d like to start a chapter of Phi Lamb. The “ED” also helps keep things running by assisting the Board of Directors with daily tasks and she helps plan the annual Officer Training Conference.
Alumni Councils
After a chapter has been established long enough to have alumni, an Alumni Council is formed. These three members can be former elected officers of that chapter. The Alumni Council provides guidance to the chapter and assistance to the Board of Directors representative.
Officers
Five officers are elected yearly in each chapter. The offices are President, Vice President, Chaplain, Secretary, and Treasurer. These officers maintain the daily functions and lead the members of their chapter.
Actives
These members of Phi Lamb are considered the big sisters of their chapter. They hold voting rights and are privilege to appointed officers positions that vary from chapter to chapter.
Pledges
New to Phi Lamb, these members are the little sisters. They are cherished by their big sisters and a vital part of Phi Lamb. Upon initiation into the sorority, they are able to vote and become Actives.
How much are dues?
There is one steadfast rule about dues in Phi Lamb. Dues never exceed the cost of 3 credit hours of tuition at a local state school in your state. Dues are set by each individual chapter of Phi Lamb. Some chapters are $200 a semester, some are $100. It truly is decided through prayer and by determining the needs of each individual chapter.
What are the membership requirements?
Sorority members may be classified as pledge, active, inactive, or alumni.
Pledges become active members through our initiation ceremony at the end of the pledge semester/year.

If I transfer to another campus, can I transfer my membership to another chapter?
Transferring to another chapter is very simple. You’ll need a letter from your current chapter stating your membership status, signed by the current officers and addressed to the officers of the chapter to which you will be transferring. Talk to your chapter officers for more information about this procedure.
Can a person of any denomination join Phi Lamb? Is Phi Lamb non-denominational?
Phi Lamb welcomes Christ-following or Christ-seeking women from all Christian denominations. We base our organization and beliefs upon the word of God, the Bible.
Can Phi Lamb members be members of other sororities as well?
Many sororities will not allow for membership in sister organizations. However, Phi Lamb does not mind you being a member of another sorority or any other organization so long as you uphold your commitment to Sisters for the Lord.
If you are a member of another sorority and desire to become a member of Phi Lamb (or vice versa), be sure to check your requirements within the other sorority before making any commitments.
Do chapters of Phi Lamb have sorority houses?
None of our chapters have sorority houses. There are many reasons for this. First, our “permanent headquarters” is not a house, it is our Board of Directors. Second, Phi Lamb strives to include all women. Having a sorority house may limit membership for those women who are graduate students or married. Finally, the limitation on dues would make the financial aspects of obtaining and maintaining a house almost impossible while meeting the other goals of Phi Lamb.
Can married women be members of Phi Lamb?
Yes they can! Phi Lamb welcomes all Christ-following or Christ-seeking women from all life situations.
